Japonaiserie

Our most ample decorative line in terms of variety of designs, and perhaps the most successful if we consider the feedback from our customers. It was born from the study of decorations not so much of textiles as objects from the Edo period in Japan (1603-1868). Vases in the kakiemon style, papier-mâché, inlaid period furniture give a range of floral decorations or figurative designs re-interpreted by Marco Kinloch’s own designs, designs which can be found on our wallpaper, hand-painted ceramics, cushions and toile de jouy with little scenes linked by floral or natural elements.
